Article on SA Muslima

A while back I was asked by the lovely people at South African Muslima Magazine to write an article about Ramadan in Egypt. The issue is now out and you can read it here.  Hope you enjoy it, please let me know your thoughts on Ramadan where you live. :)

*It's been brought to my attention that the site is blocked in Saudi and who know where else, here's a screenshot :) Ramadan In Egypt

  4. Ramadan in a Muslim country is just another thing altogether. I'm sure there's no comparison to Ramadan here in the States. Great article Mona!

  5. Great article, Mona. I would much rather be in Egypt for Ramadan than the US. You feel the soul of Ramadan in Egypt. Here it feels just empty. My MIL was here visiting for about 5 months and she went back to Egypt just before Ramadan. I do decorate for my kids and try to make everything special, but as you said, it's hard to beat what they see around at Christmas.
