Bored/Pinterest

I'm so bored today.

Sure there are things I could do like, laundry, organizing but I really don't feel like doing anything. I have a cold and a huge headache, to top it off, it's shark week. I even ordered pizza today because I couldn't be bothered to make anything.  So I'm just gonna talk about some of my favorite pins on Pinterest. Just a random bunch of things I like.

How cute are these flip flops? So cute.

From the set of one of my favorite movies, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, if you haven't seen it, see it ASAP.

This cracks me up every time I see it. Another favorite of mine, Interview With The Vampire.

I want a coat like this, in black. Yes it does get cold enough here for a coat.

I'd love to get henna done, I never have. This is gorgeous.

I want this book. And that skin. I'm sure, not even she has that skin, but wow.

I'm obsessed with this dog and look at him frequently. He's so freaking cute.

I do this now in the kitchen, If you put your iphone in a bowl, the bowl will amplify the sound. Science is fun.

I like this movie, my favorite part is when Flor lets the girl's clothes out and is all "Just, try it on!" She's so cute.

If you are not already on Pinterest, you should be. It's a good boredom killer as you can see, and you find so many great ideas, pics, recipes and projects there.

  1. Agreed, I love Pinterest.

I've had henna twice -- the first time I did it myself, and the second time I had it done by an Indian woman. Even though I left it on for as long as possible, it did nothing except stain my hand yellow both times, like an old faded bruise. I was so disappointed. I'm just too pale for it to work properly on me, I guess.

  3. Panya, Hmm, that's odd. I like the look of the black dyed kind but the reddish kind looks good too.

Maktub, I'm glad :) Yes, he's giving a little knowing smile.

  5. Salam Mona,
I had the black henna on my hands & feet a few years ago in Bahrain. I had to get black because apparently it dries faster, but I think the red would look better on my skin. Of course when I went back to work my boss said "do the gloves come off?!" so I had to scrub and scrub.

  6. I always have to remind myself to keep up to date with your posts b/c I forget it wont show up on my newsfeed anymore. My favourites have to be the trench coat and the henna. When this girl I know used to live in cairo she used to tell me the winters in egypt were more like you feel the coldness but there'd be no snow. Henna lol i love it, the designs are awesome but I hate how ugly it looks when it fades away and the smell of it isn't the best smell in the world :/ It'd be fun to learn how to do it, my neighbours daughter is only 9 or 10 but can already do lovely designs. I don't blame her, her mother taught her well. My sister loves getting henna tattoo's.

  7. Bothayna, Oh I can only spread the word of Pinterest.

Om Kareem, lol, that kinda sucks but I guess you had to.

Perfectly Imperfect, are you not on the email list? I'm emailing my invitees each time I write a post since it doesn't come up on readers/blog feeds. Let me know your email if you want. I've seen henna kits and I think I'd fail and it would look baaaad. Gotta find a pro.

  8. ooh love that henna design! I have had my hand done twice...once in black which I loved and it stayed on so long...my boss at the time asked if I knew that tattoos in Islam was haram :) ...the 2nd time was in red but that didn't last as long as the black...would love to have both hands done for an Eid though...any volunteers?

  12. Mama! Eternal Sunshine is my face movie. I've seen it at least a dozen times. I even bought the soundtrack. Now u don't recall any scene in the movie where they have kids. Did I miss something?

  13. Nina Red, You won't regret it. Except when you lose sleep because of it. Don't blame me, I warned you.

Habibiya3ayni, Isn't it. That's the best vampire movie ever. Not sure I could do the sandals but I want to find ones similar.

iMuslimah, I adore this movie and the music in it, is realllly good. Ok so the part with the kids is when he's going back in his memories, when those kids were gonna hit the bird with a hammer.

Mona! I looove that coat. Did you happen to catch where it was sold? I need a new coat and that might be perfect if affordable. The flip flops look like they were meant for you. :)
