Hijab Wrangler

Before:

After:

I found this hanger with holes in it, mad for storing hijabs. It's got 20 something scarves on it now and there's still room. It doesn't keep them wrinkle free but I always iron my clothes before going out anyway. This keeps them all in one place instead of all over. We'll see how long that lasts. The folded in my drawer system was not, lets say, maintained. This does take some room in the closet though, but I have room.

How do you keep your hijabs?

  1. I like this hanger! I could never neatly store scarves in a drawer - absolutely impossible! Mine are on a couple hangers. One of the hangers is one of those that open and shut (for pants I think) but the design of it has about 6 rectangular holes so I use those to put scarves in. Rest on a regular hanger.

  2. I use these trouser hangers http://amzn.com/B000IF4T4A for my scarves and shaylas. I love them because they don't take up a lot of space, they're easy to use, the foam helps keep the hijabs from falling off, and most importantly for me, they don't wrinkle my hijabs!

My amiras, skull caps and bandannas are on an open shelf next to the desk where I get ready -- I try to keep them folded and neat, but I end up just throwing them on the shelf most of the time. :)

  3. Candice, That hanger sounds like it would be good and not crowded.

Panya, seems like a good system. I'm always too lazy to put my scarf away properly after I come home, I just toss it to the side then collect them later.

I have one of those for my husband's ties, but for my hijabs I put them in a drawer classified by colour.
Can you show us techniques for wearing hijabs or explain, mine is very classical and I can see various manners of wearing it in the streets that are very smart.

  5. Anissa/Anon, You sound organized. I mostly just do the basic shayla wrap but I love to watch Amena on youtube for inspiration or an idea or two. http://www.youtube.com/user/Amenakin
She has tons of tutorials on how to wrap your hijab. :)

  7. It's my first time to visit your blog and I love it :)
I've a special easy way in organizing my veil scarves, and I thought of sharing it with you

I hang them behind my room door in this way

It's a very simple technique, all you need is two wooden pieces (not to dig nail in the walls), nails and strong strings and this is how it looks

I use it looong long time ago, for me it's the best way to keep them organized. I do organize them by colors as much as I could :)
