mmmmmmmmm....Donuts.

Yesterday I discovered the supermarket bakery makes really good doughnuts! It's hard to find a good doughnut here. This was fluffy and really good, I'd like it better without the chocolate on top, but I'm sure we can request that next time. They were on sale for half price yesterday but the regular price is 4.50LE which isn't very cheap but it's a pretty big doughnut and a nice treat once in a while.

Happy NEW YEAR Mona for you and your family.
You know in Slovenia came the news that in Egypt people do not really celebrate the New Year, because there the students have important school exams in January. Thus they have to study a lot.I immediately thought of you and how you wrote about your children having to study in this period.
Oh...another thing...I saw the picture of that cake of yours...I have to read the recipe as I have never seen a green cake before :).Must be delicious anyway!
I wish you a nice week.

  9. I was hoping you'd respond to this comment, because I really would like to know how you get that color of the cake.Soon will be carnival in Slovenia, thus I thought I'll make this cake, because it's so full of color.

  10. Jasmina, sorry for the late reply, the cake in the other post is a yellow cake, maybe your screen's colors aren't right or the picture is lit weird, the cake is yellow and the frosting is pink..the green you might mean is the sprinkles on the sides of the cake, they're just tiny colored decorative edible confetti. Take care.
