Asalamu alaikum,It is almost weeding season. Are going to many weedings?I went to 2 weddings when i lived in Alex. That was 9 years ago. They were both mixed with Men and Women and had Music. My niece will be getting married in Algeria this summer.InshaAllah.They tend not to mix there.Have weddings changed much since i have been there?I have been to Hurghda for holiday. What a lovley place.Nice people too.Are there differences in wedding customs region to region?Salam,Umasiya

  7. Umasiya, We might go to a wedding soon! I haven't been here been to one since my brother's in 2001! I haven't been to many weddings here but most are mixed and unfortunately many brides take off their hijab the day everyone they know will be there to see and even wear revealing dresses! As if that day doesn't count or something! Anyway I hope you make it to Hurghada again soon!

Asalamu alaikum, InshaAllah sister. After 9 years of marriage and two little ones.I think a trip back two my second home is much deserved.Maybe next year if inflation doesn't eat us alive i could make a return for a nice second honeymoon.InshaAllah.I have another silly question. Are you seeing any sisters wearing the new "Modest Muslim Bathing Suit"?That is one thing that i miss the most about living in Egypt.I could go to the clubs in Alex and in Cairo for women only swims in the pools.I might have swam in the sea a time or two in my caftan with hijab. That was back when i was a little more brave. Now the only thing that gets wet is my feet and the bottom of my abaya. The red sea is lovley, dip your toes for me one day.Please!!!InshaAllah.Umasiya
